This project was an extensive remodel and addition to a house located in Kenwood, California. The house is designed to open up expansively to a view of the creek, while remaining inconspicuous from the road. The project features a contemporary open kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms, a home office, a large open multi-use loft (which doubles as a future bedroom), and a garage that doubles as a shop. Rainfall is collected into corrugated metal storage tanks for domestic use and fire suppression. Bamboo flooring is used throughout to create a rich and renewable interior finish.
Project done while working for Neil Peoples Architecture.
